FAQ
The 2025 CLUB SEASON is quickly approaching. This includes summer camps, training, summer tryouts, and fall tryouts.
If you are new to club volleyball, a seasoned veteran, or looking to join a new club, you may be looking here at our website.
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that we have encountered in the past.
Q: WHEN ARE SUMMER TRYOUTS?
The first allowed dates for summer tryouts will be JULY 19th. ROCK SUMMER TRYOUTS will be JULY 19 and 20th
Q: WHEN ARE FALL TRYOUTS?
The U14 and under will have fall tryouts OCT 5th and 6th. U15 and U16 will be NOV 14th and 16th.
Q: HOW DO TRYOUTS WORK? WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO?
Tryouts will be held two separate times for all teams. One tryout in the summer and another in the fall. Some offers will be made for players in the summer and the rest of the offers will be made in the fall. All players need to register with ROCK VBC and hold a tryout membership with Badger Region/USAV.
Q: WHAT IF YOU DON'T GET AN OFFER THIS SUMMER?
If you do not receive an offer this summer, fall tryouts will be another chance to make the team. Players that tryout in the summer will not have to pay again for fall tryouts.
Q: WHAT IS THE COST OF THE SEASON?
The cost of the season will be determined by the age of the team, number of tournaments entered and practices. There will not be any additional cost to the season, unless agreed upon by the team to add a tournament during the season.
Q: WHAT DOES MY PLAYER GET WITH THEIR CLUB PAYMENT?
Players receive two jerseys, a volleyball, 20+ training sessions, up to 8 tournament dates and a practice shirt.
Q: WHEN DO YOU SCHEDULE PRACTICES?
All practices will be held on WED or THURS nights from 7:30-9:30 PM, depending upon the team. We also have practice on SUN 6:00-8:00 PM
Q: WHERE ARE THE PRACTICES AND GAMES?
All practices will be held at CRAIG HIGH SCHOOL in JANESVILLE, WI. TOURNAMENTS will be entered in NOVEMBER. ROCK VBC attempts to stay with-in a 1 .5 hour radius (90 miles). In previous seasons we have entered tournaments in Whitewater, Wisconsin Dells, Waukesha, Madison, Watertown, Sun Prairie, Menominee Falls, Rockford, and Kenosha.
Q: WHEN DOES THE SEASON START and END?
After the final fall tryouts in November we will start practicing. Our first practice is called CLUBSGIVING with food, drink, parent orientation, team meetings, jersey sizing, and ref. clinic review. The tournament season begins with one tournament/scrimmage in late December and ending around Spring Break at the end of March/early April.
